About Drift Theluveliga Retreat
Theluveliga is a narrow coral island resting on a shallow reef flat within South Ari Atoll. Like many small Maldivian islands, it would historically have been visited intermittently rather than settled permanently. Coconut palms and coastal vegetation stabilize the sand that forms the island’s surface. The surrounding reef slopes into deeper lagoon areas where currents move through the atoll, supporting reef fish and coral communities that define the marine environment here.
