Molhadhoo Mangrove
Molhadhoo’s mangrove is part of a broader natural system that includes dense vegetation and relatively intact ground cover. The wetland acts as a buffer, absorbing excess water and stabilizing the shoreline. Mangrove trees here are adapted to salt and fluctuation, surviving where few others can. These areas are not separate from the island—they are woven into it. Over time, they have supported small-scale use while maintaining ecological function. Their continued presence suggests a landscape that has not been fully altered, where natural processes still hold.
