Kandoomaa Thila

Kandooma Thila is one of the best dive sites in South Male Atoll. It is located north of Kandooma Island and consists of a pinnacle rising from a depth of 40 meters/130 feet to 12 meters/40 feet below the surface. The top of the reef is rich in coral growth. The site is one of the best places to see some shark action. Whitetip sharks, grey reef sharks, and tiger sharks are some of the species you can expect to see here. But because of the strong currents, it is recommended for advanced divers. Diving is possible all year-round, with water temperatures of 27 °C/80 °F or more. Great visibility of up to 30 meters/100 feet.
