Nassimo Thila (Lankan Thila)

Nassimo Thila, also known as Lankan Thila, is located north of Lankanfinolhu in North Malé Atoll. This 263.83-hectare underwater pinnacle rises from a depth of around 30 meters to about 10 meters. Coral overhangs and caves are prominent features, along with high fish density including blue-striped snappers, trevally, and fusiliers. The thila is surrounded by strong currents that support nutrient cycling and coral health. The area is regularly visited by dive boats and is included in marine biodiversity studies.
