About Kagi
Kagi is a small coral island in Kaafu Atoll, measuring just under 2.5 hectares. Positioned near the edge of North Malé Atoll’s lagoon, it features a narrow beach ridge and is surrounded by a shallow reef flat with live coral patches. Now leased for tourism, the island's limited landmass and fringing reef make it ecologically sensitive—especially to coastal modification, greywater discharge, and reef trampling from snorkeling activity.
