Guraidhoo Kanduolhi

Protected & Documented

Guraidhoo Kanduolhi is a channel between Guraidhoo and Maafushi islands in South Malé Atoll. This 351-hectare site includes deep channels and coral-rich walls that support large pelagic species and reef dwellers. It is part of a well-known current-swept passage used by divers and also acts as a migratory path for marine species. Coral cover is dense in certain areas, particularly near drop-offs. The site is often used in dive itineraries and is one of the earliest declared marine protected areas in the Maldives.
