Makunudhoo Reef

Makunudhoo reef is a large coral formation on the western side of North Malé Atoll. Spanning over 300 hectares, the reef features wide plateaus, coral bommies, and patch reefs. It is frequented by reef sharks, rays, and garden eels. Coral cover includes both hard and soft species, with good visibility for snorkeling and diving. The site lies close to the inhabited island of Makunudhoo (Malé Atoll), distinct from the atoll of the same name in the north.
