Rasfari
The Rasfari Region is the largest marine protected area in the Malé region. Located west of K. Rasfari, the site includes extensive reef flats, coral slopes, and seagrass beds. With an area exceeding 2,400 hectares, it serves as a vital habitat for green turtles, reef sharks, and diverse reef fish. The site also buffers the outer edge of the atoll and plays a role in shoreline protection.
