Thanburudhoo Region
Thanburudhoo Region lies south of Thanburudhoo Island, encompassing a wide reef platform and drop-offs. Spanning over 316 hectares, it includes surf breaks, coral gardens, and reef slopes. The area is popular for marine sports and also serves as habitat for reef fish, turtles, and rays. Coral composition includes massive and branching species. Though near urban zones, the reef remains relatively undisturbed and is monitored under national marine protection frameworks.
