Milaidhoo is a small island situated within the reef systems of Baa Atoll. Like many islands in the Maldives, it formed through gradual accumulation of coral sand over a reef base. Historically the island was unlikely to support permanent settlement but may have been used occasionally for coconuts or fishing.
