About Vihamanaafushi
Vihamanaafushi, located in Kaafu Atoll at approximately 4.226°N and 73.520°E, covers about 13.6 hectares. Now home to Kurumba Maldives, the island was one of the first to be developed for tourism in the country. Its relatively large size for a resort island allowed for a well-vegetated interior, with mature coconut palms and coastal shrublands still present. Surrounded by a broad reef flat and lagoon, it faces pressures from reef degradation and shoreline modification.
