About Eh'mafushi
At 26.61 hectares, Eh’mafushi is a relatively large island with lagoons on both sides and access to deep reef edges. It’s ecologically important for coral reef health and reef fish spawning. With minimal human activity in earlier times, the island preserved native vegetation and is now part of marine environmental initiatives. The island’s position near channels gives it ecological connectivity with surrounding reefs.
