About Rasfari

Rasfari is a small uninhabited island located in the northwest of North Malé Atoll. Covering just over 1.3 hectares, it is surrounded by expansive reef flats and healthy coral slopes that support marine megafauna, including reef sharks and green turtles. The island itself is sandy with sparse vegetation and serves as a resting spot for seabirds. Nearby reefs are part of a designated marine protected area due to their ecological importance. Though uninhabited, Rasfari is visited by day cruisers and used for traditional bait fishing. It lies closest to K. Dhiffushi and K. Huraa, both inhabited islands.
